Prof Donna Ryu - Receives 2009 Joe Morozumi Award

Professor Donna Ryu has been selected as the 2009 recipient of the Joe Morozumi Award for Exceptional Legal Advocacy.  The award was created a few years ago by Dale Minami and Mike Lee, two of Professor Ryu's personal heroes, and the Asian American Bar Association to honor Joe Morozumi, one of the founders of the Asian Law Caucus.  Morozumi mentored a generation of Asian American law students and attorneys.  The award is given each year to an Asian American attorney who best exemplifies Joe Morozum's spirit of uncomprimising legal advocacy in matters of conscience. 

The award will be presented at the annual Asian American Bar Association dinner on February 20, 2009 at the San Francisco City Hall.
