Prof. Joan Williams Releases Gender Bias Learning Website
Professor Joan Williams at the Center for WorkLife Law released an online gender bias training with support from a National Science Foundation ADVANCE leadership grant.
The site was featured in a Chronicle of Higher Education article and the New York Times Economix blog post. The training defines the main patterns of gender bias and provides survival strategies to manage bias. It also features an interactive Gender Bias Bingo Game which allows the user to share his or her stories of gender bias. The gender bias training is currently geared toward the academic workplace but will soon be expanded to a broader set of workplace environments.
