He will begin serving Montana customers in his chosen areas of real property, water, and construction law in 2013. Arthur now practices law in the States of Washington, Idaho, and Montana. ’02 / The U.S. Secretary of Transportation has appointed Mark J. Sundahl to the Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC). COMSTAC advises the Office of Commercial Space Transportation within the Federal Aviation Administration regarding new regulations governing private space activity. / Ryan Marton was elected into the partnership of Fenwick & West effective January 1, 2013. / The Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers’ board of directors has honored David Reidy with its 2012 Barrister of the Year Award for his service on the Judges Reception Committee and Barristers board. David, a litigation partner at Reed Smith, is a member of the financial industry group. / NYC Urban Debate League students, accompanied by coach Erik Fogel, accepted a 2012 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award at the White House. First Lady Michelle Obama congratulated the citywide debate team, along with 11 other communitybased after-school programs selected from 350 nominees, and she handed each organization a $10,000 cash prize. ’00 / In March 2012, Gene Litvinoff joined Chevron as senior counsel in San Ramon, where he manages some of Chevron’s international litigation. / Jared Goldman has joined Best Best & Krieger as a partner. Jared, who previously served as in-house counsel to the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System, will provide general counsel services and advice to health care providers. / Mieke Malmberg has been promoted to principal in the Los Angeles branch of McKool Smith, where she focuses on patent litigation. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving a wide range of technologies, including computer hardware and software, among others.  / Dean Fealk, a partner at DLA Piper in San Francisco, has been appointed outside general counsel to the Halifax International Security Forum, a leading nonprofit organization devoted to meeting emerging threats and promoting democratic values through its annual summit, which has been called the “Davos of international security,” by Time magazine and the Atlantic Monthly. ’99 / Alyson Huber stepped down as the Lodi, California, area’s assemblywoman on November 30, 2012. She has been appointed to a judgeship in Sacramento County Superior Court. / Regina Burch was { class notes } promoted to associate dean for graduate programs at Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. In her new role, Regina oversees all aspects of the Master of Laws and Master of Taxation programs. In addition, she continues to teach advanced business law courses and to research corporate governance and securities law topics. / David Lim has been elected mayor of San Mateo and a City Council member. ’98 / Jared Eigerman writes: “I have been practicing law back home in Massachusetts for the past few years, but I still do some things in San Francisco.
