{ class notes } Sherrill Corbett ‘95 Ruth V. Glick ‘91 for International Development’s mission director for Vietnam. He leads a program involving health, economic growth, environment (including climate change and dioxin remediation), disability, higher education, and governance assistance at approximately $80 million annually to the Vietnamese people. ’91 / Ruth V. Glick has been named chair-elect of the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association. The 19,000-member section is violence prevention for underserved youth in San Diego by engaging them with law enforcement program coordinators and volunteers. Prior to this position, she was a prosecutor with the San Diego City Attorney’s Office for seven years, where she was named Prosecutor of the Year and Peacemaker of the Year in 2004. / Craig Enochs, an attorney with Jackson Walker, was selected for inclusion in the 2013 edition of Best Lawyers in America. / Morrison & Foerster named James Mullen managing partner in San Diego. ’96 / Steven T. Coopersmith continues to expand the Coopersmith Law Firm, the business litigation boutique firm he founded more than four years ago. Steven writes: “Our practice focuses on partnership and corporate disputes, executive-level employment disputes, and financial fraud matters, as well as general business litigation cases. I was selected as a 2012 Top Attorney in the area of Corporate Litigation by the San Diego Daily Transcript and carry an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating.” / Stephen Smith is an associate clinical professor at Santa Clara University School of Law. ’95 / Judy Appell was elected to the Berkeley, California, School Board. / Best Lawyers in America 2013 has named Sherrill Corbett, an attorney with Tonkon Torp in Oregon, as Portland Lawyer of the Year for Corporate Compliance Law. / Mark Talamantes has been appointed to the Marin County Superior Court bench by Gov. Jerry Brown. / Lidia Stiglich has been appointed to the Washoe District Court bench by Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval. ’94 / Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart has added Kevin Reese as a shareholder. Reese, who was most recently at Hanson Bridgett, represents management in wage-and-hour class action cases, as well as matters involving employment discrimination, sexual harassment, trade secrets, the Family and Medical Leave Act, unfair competition, and reasonable accommodation. / Eva Guo’s book of poetry, Ramblings, is available on amazon.com. / Edwin P. Antolin was named a State Tax Notes’ Lawyer of the Year as part of the Silverstein & Pomerantz team litigating Gillette v.
