The 2013 Honors Gala is on Friday, October 11th and attendance is expected to be upward of 400 UC Hastings alumni as well as civic, legal and business leaders at the beautiful San Francisco St. Regis Hotel.  The 2013 UC Hastings Honors Gala will be the first of what will become the signature alumni event for the law school and one of the top annual legal events in San Francisco and in the State of California. UC Hastings will recognize three individuals who have achieved great success in their careers and have made significant contributions to the law and to their communities:

• Willie L. Brown Jr. ’58 | Alumnus of the Year

After serving two terms as Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco and as the longest serving speaker of the California State Assembly, Willie Brown remains a political force both locally and nationally.

• Simona Agnolucci ’06 | Rising Alumna of the Year

From litigating for major firms and cutting-edge tech companies in complex cases to her active pro bono practice representing women fleeing gender-based prosecution, Simona Agnolucci is making her mark.

• Roger C. Park | Distinguished Faculty of the Year

Professor Park is an internationally recognized scholar and award-winning teacher whose eight books and scores of articles use interdisciplinary methods to examine evidence law.
