A senior associate at Pandell Law Firm, Inc., in Walnut Creek, Calif., Jerome C. Pandell is admitted to practice law in the State of California and all California Federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He recently won his first two trials: he successfully defended an architect accused of negligence, fraud, and breach of contract after full presentation of evidence at trial; he also won a directed verdict for an engineering and construction company in a negligence and fraud action after the close of the case, but before jury deliberation. Jerome's latest legal successes also include achieving partial summary judgment in a real estate transaction case fostering a quick settlement, for a fraction of the claimed damages.
As a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Jerome served as co–chair of the Moot Court Board and Executive Editor of the Hastings Communications & Entertainment Law Journal(COMM/ENT). As a moot court competitor, he won multiple Best Brief awards at international competitions featuring hundreds of law schools. Jerome completed a federal judicial externship for the Honorable Martin J. Jenkins, formerly of the United States District Court, Northern District of California, in 2007. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he also served as managing editor of The Daily Northwestern. An active supporter of his collegiate alma mater, Jerome serves as a founding member of the Northwestern University Leadership Circle San Francisco Bay Area Regional Council and acted as chairman of Northwestern’ s Class of 2005 Five–Year Reunion. Jerome was anointed as a Northern California Rising Star in 2012 by Super Lawyers, a publication that rates outstanding lawyers who have attained a high–degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Since 2011, Jerome has served as a member of President Barack Obama’s National Finance Committee and as a volunteer legal advisor on election and campaign finance issues to Democratic candidates throughout the country. He also was elected as a California delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., and serves as Treasurer of the Contra Costa County Young Democrats.
