Annual Giving

Annual gifts from alumni and friends provide UC Hastings with a vital, ongoing source of expendable, discretionary resources.  Annual gifts help Hastings raise essential funds, engage alumni in supporting the college, strengthen the UC Hastings alumni network and enhance the profile of the school.  UC Hastings provides alumni and friends with several opportunities to make annual gifts.

UC Hastings Fund

The UC Hastings Fund is the school’s largest annual giving program.  The UC Hastings Fund is the primary way for all alumni and friends to help sustain the special features that set Hastings apart.  Gifts to the UC Hastings Fund are made without restriction.  This allows the dean to address the most pressing needs or to respond to opportunities as they arise with ease and flexibility. For example, the UC Hastings Fund might be used for scholarships to attract or retain outstanding students, faculty recruitment, supporting a lecture series, or upgrading classroom technology.

UC Hastings Challenge

The UC Hastings Challenge is a campaign designed to encourage alumni at law firms, corporations and other organizations to reconnect with their alma mater.  Within each organization, volunteer representatives take the lead in inspiring their UC Hastings colleagues to join together and meet the giving challenge. Any gift or pledge to UC Hastings during the year (January 1 - December 31) counts toward your group's participation.
