Direct Your Gift

justin

Since its founding in 1878, UC Hastings has benefited from the generosity of alumni and friends.

Gifts make a critical difference and enhance the quality of the Hastings experience for today’s students.  They make possible much needed scholarship funds, help attract world-renowned faculty, encourage scholarly research and writing, support student services, and provide opportunities for a variety of clinical and other out of the classroom experiences.

Today, private funding is essential to maintaining the excellent legal education for which Hastings is so well known.  Thank you for joining with us in making possible extraordinary opportunities to the next generation of legal professionals.

We are grateful for your support!

Areas for Support

UC Hastings Fund

The UC Hastings Fund is the school’s largest annual giving program and a vital, ongoing source of expendable, discretionary resources.  The UC Hastings Fund is the primary way for all alumni and friends to help sustain the special features that set Hastings apart.  Gifts to the UC Hastings Fund are made without restriction.  This allows the dean to address the most pressing needs or to respond to opportunities as they arise with ease and flexibility. For example, the UC Hastings Fund might be used for scholarships to attract or retain outstanding students, faculty recruitment, supporting a lecture series, or upgrading classroom technology.

Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to help outstanding students defray the cost of a UC Hastings education.  Endowed scholarship funds established privately by individuals, corporations, foundations, and friends of UC Hastings provide the primary source of scholarship aid, with additional assistance provided by a limited number of annual gifts and grants.

The following scholarship funds are available to support:
