Robert Matsui '66 Public Service Scholarship

Congressman Robert Matsui represented California in the United States House of Representatives from 1978 until his untimely passing in 2005. Classmates, friends, and admirers of Congressman Matsui made generous gifts to Hastings to establish a scholarship for students who have demonstrated a commitment to public service.

Marvin Sussman '50 Scholarship

A longtime Hastings 1066 Foundation trustee, Marvin Sussman transferred an IRA to Hastings to establish a new scholarship. Rather than waiting for Hastings to receive the IRA as part of his estate, Sussman will have the pleasure of seeing a student benefit from his generosity during his lifetime.

Sedgwick Law Firm and Kevin Dunne Trial Advocacy Team Competition Fund

Colleagues of Kevin Dunne honored him for years of professional commitment and leadership by establishing a new fund to support travel for the Hastings Trial Team. Thanks to this fund, the team will enjoy even more opportunities to compete with other top law schools at national and international competitions.

Harry Sunderland '61 Professor of Real Property Law

Starting as an attorney in the real estate department, Harry Sunderland spent more than three decades with Safeway. Over his distinguished career, he held many senior positions with the company, including director, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and vice chairman. Sunderland established this chair in thanks for the excellent legal education he received at Hastings.
