Letter to Reunion Volunteers from Campaign Chair

Reunion Campaign Chair Guy Rounsaville '68

Welcome to the Reunion Class Campaign team!

Reunion celebrations are a great time to reach out to your classmates, reminisce about your common UC Hastings experience and share your excitement about what is going on at your law school.  UC Hastings is on an exciting path and you will be making a tangible difference as the school moves forward.

A critical part of the reunion celebration is the participation of your class mates -- both in returning to San Francisco to enjoy reconnecting with classmates during the reunion festivities, and also by making a gift in support of the school.  By agreeing to serve as a reunion volunteer, you will help to make this all possible while strengthening the sense of community between members of your class and your alma mater.

Peer-to-peer outreach is crucial to a strong reunion giving campaign.  Our goal this year is simple - to encourage a high level of participation and to maximize the number of gifts to the law school from your classmates in honor of your class Reunion. We hope to build so much momentum through increased alumni giving at UC Hastings that we will be able to exceed the level of private support enjoyed by our peer law schools.

The school’s leadership has demonstrated a commitment to preparing students for careers in law by expanding experiential and clinical programs, by offering international experience and by tackling contemporary legal and social issues. Alumni support is critical to making this happen.

As the Reunion Campaign unfolds, we will keep you informed via email and conference calls of key priorities at UC Hastings and provide tips for connecting with your classmates.

As Reunion volunteers, the time and energy that you invest in the months leading up to your Reunion will be rewarding, and honestly, at times frustrating.  But, you should go forward with the knowledge that the work you are doing will make a difference for students today and in the future.

Thank you for your help in making this year's Reunion Campaign a success.
