Apply
UC Hastings prefers applying online through the LSAC Credential Assembly Service (CAS). The General Application for admission, the Legal Education Opportunity Program Application (LEOP), and the Entering Student Financial Aid Supplement are available there. LL.M. applicants must follow the LL.M. procedure. Note: you must have a PC (not a Macintosh) to apply online.
- First-year JD applicants may apply online between October 1 and March 1. (Applications are available at LSAC as early as September 15th.)
- Early Commitment applicants must have their applications submitted by November 15 and completed by December 1.
- Transfers may apply online May 1 through July 1. Please update your letters of recommendation with LSDAS.
- Visiting students may apply online May 1 through July 1 for the fall semester, and October 1 through November 15 for the spring semester.
Questions about the online application should be directed to LSAC (www.lsac.org). Please call 215.968.1393 for technical assistance.
For applicants who require screen readers or other assistive software, you may use our Accessible JD Application, Accessible Transfer Application, or our Accessible Visitor Application. (If you have any difficulty accessing the application, instructions, or any part of our website, please contact the Admission Office at 415-565-4623 for assistance.) Once completed, you must mail or fax your application and submit your $75 application fee (made payable to U.C. Hastings College of the Law) to:
UC Hastings College of the Law

Please note: If you submit your application by mail or fax, you must still register with LSAC CAS. (See the application checklist.) Once the Admissions Office receives your completed application, we will request your CAS report and supporting documents from LSAC.
