Cost and Financial Aid
Financial Aid
A professional school education is an investment in your future. It requires a significant financial commitment on your part, but the rewards of a legal education make this commitment worthwhile. While the largest portion of financial aid received by our students is in the form of student loans, each year UC Hastings awards over seven million dollars in grants and scholarships to new and returning students in order to help meet the cost of attendance and to make a top-tier legal education financially feasible.
The financial assistance we provide our students, however, is not limited to their tenure at Hastings. For those who want to work in low salary government or public interest jobs, UC Hastings supports the Public Interest Careers Assistance Program (PICAP), a generous loan repayment program designed to encourage our graduates to pursue their passion serving the public.
