Waitlist Requirements

Further action is NOT required to remain on the waitlist at the time of our initial email notifying you of your status. However, be alert to future notifications that inquire about your interest to remain on the waitlist.

Admission Offers from the Waitlist

• Admission Offers from the waitlist will be made by telephone.
• If you will be unavailable by telephone at any time in the spring or summer, please designate a person to act on your behalf. This person must be able to accept an offer for you and make the enrollment deposit ($500) in your name. To designate such a person, please send an email to admiss@uchastings.edu providing the name of that person and his or her telephone number.
• Please notify the Admissions Office of any address or phone number updates via email to admiss@uchastings.edu. Please include your LSAC number or Hastings ID number as well as your old address and telephone number. The subject line of the email should read: WL address / telephone number update.
  
• We may email asking whether you are interested in remaining on the waitlist. If you receive this message, please be sure to follow the instructions carefully to maintain your place on the waitlist. Failure to do so may cause you to be denied future consideration.
• Admission offers from the waitlist are typically made in May, June and July, however, offers could be made as late as early August.

Admission from the Waitlist

• Once offered a place at Hastings from the waitlist:
  
  
  1. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be due immediately. All deposits are credited toward tuition. (Note: A deposit is NOT required to hold your place on the waitlist.)
  2. You will be required to accept or reject the offer of admission immediately.
  3. Deferments to the following academic year are not available.
• Mandatory orientation for incoming students is August 15-17. The mandatory LEOP orientation is August 6-13. Classes begin on Monday, August 20th.
• Tuition is due by the first day of classes. See financial aid information below.

Financial Aid

• In order to receive a financial aid award letter promptly after an admission offer, you should complete your financial aid file immediately (if you have not done so already). A complete file requires:

  1. FAFSA (go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete a FAFSA; our Title IV School Code is G03947), and the
  2. Financial Aid Supplement
     

Final Notification of Application Status

If we are unable to offer you a place in the class, we will notify you by mail in late August.
