The Mission of the Public Safety Department

The mission of our department is to protect life and property, insure academic tranquility, in partnership with the campus community.

The UC Hastings Public Safety Department is responsible for keeping students, faculty and staff safe on and around the campus. Chief Palmini, Sergeant Hallahan, Sergeant Stewart and the Public Safety Officers are happy to answer questions and provide tips on remaining as safe as possible.

In addition to reminding us that common sense and cool heads prevail, they publish several helpful documents:

Student Guide to Public Safety Services including Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report

In accordance with the 1990 Crime Awareness and Security Act, California State Regulations,  and the 1998 Jeanne Clery Act, you may view the 2011 Annual Security Report (years reported 2008, 2009, 20010) of crime statistics for UC Hastings and areas contiguous to Hastings.

Obtain the most current sex offender information in your community.

If you wish to file a San Francisco Police Report, you may do so in person at your local police station or file an online report.
