Student Life at UC Hastings

What do UC Hastings students do outside of class? To begin, they actively participate in a wide variety of campus extra-curricular activities. There are numerous student organizations on campus, such as the UC Hastings Public Interest Law Foundation, La Raza, and the UC Hastings Intramural Basketball League. Don’t see an organization that suits your interests? Feel free to start one up!

Many UC Hastings students take time to work off stress at our fitness center or in our gymnasium, both of which are located in “The Tower.” The fitness center features weight training equipment, cardiovascular machines, and host aerobic, yoga, and wellness programs. Our gymnasium is equipped with a full indoor basketball court, which the Hastings community uses for basketball, volleyball, and other intramural sports.

Students also participate in numerous school-wide social events, both on and off campus. Popular events include “Beer on the Beach,” where various campus organizations sponsor a Thursday afternoon reception, and "Cabaret" - an evening of food and fun for Hastings students, faculty and staff.  Students take the party off-campus for the annual Barrister’s Ball and Spring Fling.

Last but certainly not least, UC Hastings students unwind by enjoying the abundant cultural and entertainment opportunities at their doorstep, in the heart of San Francisco.
