Housing Options

There are several housing options near the University of California Summer Legal Institute in San Francisco.  The below list is not exhaustive but it is a good starting point.

1) McAllister Tower

The UC Hastings McAllister Tower is located a block away from the campus where the University of California Summer Legal Institute will hold its sessions. The Tower has a number of fully furnished efficiencies and studios for rent or sublease. All units come with a full bathroom and a modular kitchen unit.

2) Sub-Leasing Directly from current UC Hastings Students

Students from other ABA law schools who know current UC Hastings students can arrange a sublease directly with them.  UC Hastings students living in the McAllister Tower are permitted to sublease their units during the summer. 

3) Off-Campus Housing

UC Hastings provides numerous resources to assist students planning to live in or close to San Francisco. The Student Information Center (SIC) produces the Campus Housing Guide , which offers excellent information and advice about finding an apartment, getting around on mass transportation, and much more.  Students are also encouraged to search independently for summer sublets and other options in the city via web-based sources such as Craig's List.
