UC Law SF Ranks #29 in National Law Journal's Top 50 Go-To Law Schools Report

The National Law Journal (NLJ) ranked UC Law SF College of the Law #29 in its 2017 Go-To law school report.

This annual report identifies the top 50 law schools with the highest percentage of 2016 juris doctor (JD) graduates hired as first-year associates at the nation’s most prestigious law firms.

In 2016, 36 UC Law SF JD graduates, or almost 12% percent of the class, accepted associate positions at the nation’s largest 100 law firms. This includes 5 recent grads joining Reed Smith. UC Law SF moved up two places from last year’s NLJ ranking.

“We have long-standing relationships with these firms and they know they can rely on UC Law SF for outstanding talent,” says Sari Zimmerman, Assistant Dean for the Office of Career & Professional Development.

The National Law Journal also ranked UC Law SF #23 in its “Associates to Partner” ranking (the schools that saw the most alumni promoted to partner during 2016).
