Since 2009, the Center for East Asian Legal Studies (formerly the East Asian Legal Studies Program) has been proud to host 75 public events and exchanges with leading scholars, practitioners, and government officials on a wide range of topics related to East Asian legal affairs.  Events have included major academic and professional conferences, town hall programs, academic lectures, panel presentations, and other professional exchanges.  The Center has been honored to collaborate with many prominent organizations, including the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, the Japan Society of Northern California, the Japan External Trade Organization, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the 1990 Institute, the UC Santa Cruz East Asian Studies Program, Waseda Law School, the Dui Hua Foundation, and numerous law school centers and student groups, on selected events and programs.  Click here for a detailed list of past CEALS past events and exchanges.
