Inter-Journal Writing Competition
Each year, journal editors use the Inter-Journal Writing Competition to evaluate candidates for journal membership. Do not contact the journals directly during the competition. Any entrant who does will be disqualified. Do not consult any person, student or not, or any resource other than your Bluebook regarding any aspect of the competition; do not look up any materials on Lexis or Westlaw of any other web-based source of information. To do so is to risk disqualification. The competition is strictly anonymous. Any student participating in the writing competition who reveals his or her identity in any way to any of the journals or any other student will be disqualified.

All rising 2Ls who wish to participate on a journal at Hastings, must enter the Inter-Journal Writing Competition. There are no other, alternative options for joining a journal.
