Student for a short time.
Alum for a lifetime.

Dear Alumni,

It is a great honor and responsibility to serve as President of the UC Law SF Alumni Association Board of Governors for the 2022-2023 Board year. This year, we welcome around 400 new alumni members who proudly earned their degrees at the 141st Commencement ceremony. Each student began adding to the rich legacy of our legal community the moment they began their studies at UC Law SF, just as you did some years ago. Each will uniquely expand the reach and influence of our alma mater, as many of you continue to do.

My goal is to ensure that our 22,000 alumni members view the Board as accessible and representative of their diverse interests and perspectives. Through our focused committees, alumni chapters, and affinity groups, we remain energetic about creating opportunities for you to engage with other alumni, as well as faculty, staff, and students.

Admittedly, we hope the students will have an opportunity to garner wisdom and encouragement from you. You have valuable stories to share and sage advice regarding navigating career paths and relationships after law school. While aspects of the current students’ experiences are different than yours, there are common threads and fundamental principles that guide our careers.

There are several exciting ways to connect to the law school. Let us know how we can help you stay engaged. I look forward to hearing from you and perhaps seeing you at an alumni event soon.

Warm regards,
