Gifts of Securities, Stocks, and Bonds

Appreciated securities, stocks, and bonds are much appreciated by the law school, and they provide a wonderful tax advantage if transferred before being sold. Consult your tax advisor for guidance on making a gift. Instructions on transferring stock are available here.

Gift Fee

As is the case at most public institutions of higher education, UC Law SF applies an administrative fee to all gifts it receives. The fee is used to fund the advancement and alumni relations activities of the College. The UC Law SF fee of 6% aligns with most UC campuses.
