Access to our campus is restricted to protect our campus community and to stop the spread of COVID-19. On Monday, March 16, the College moved the administrative and academic operations of the campus to a substantially virtual environment. Additionally, on March 16, 2020, Mayor London Breed issued the first of several Public Health Orders directing San Francisco residents to shelter-in-place with the exception of “essential activities.” In line with that Public Health Order and campus virtualization, while essential College functions will continue and the Tower will remain open to student residents, we are curtailing operations at 200 McAllister, 198 McAllister, and 333 Golden Gate. Access to these buildings requires prior authorization of College administration and everyone entering campus buildings must have photo identification, wear a face covering, and follow the College’s social distancing protocol.
333 Golden Gate: CLOSED
The same day that 333 Golden Gate opened to the public, we also closed 333 Golden Gate to the public. Other than security, facilities, and other limited essential functions, no one is permitted access to 333 Golden Gate until normal campus operations resume.
198 McAllister: CLOSED
Given pending demolition of 198 McAllister and the virtualization of the campus community, we have closed 198 McAllister. Other than security, facilities, and other limited essential functions, no one is permitted access to 333 Golden Gate until normal campus operations resume.
200 McAllister: OPEN
200 McAllister is open for security, facilities, and other limited essential functions. The building remains open only to those specifically authorized for access in advance to provide these essential functions to our campus community. For those authorized, access is limited to the following building hours below. A photo ID and face covering are required for entry, and visitors must confirm their compliance with exposure risk criteria each time they enter the building.
|Monday – Friday||8:00 AM||5:00 PM|
100 McAllister: OPEN 24/7
100 McAllister, the Tower, will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for residents and essential support personnel. Visitors to the Tower are permitted by invite of student residents only, should be restricted by student residents as appropriate per the terms of the Public Health Orders from the City & County of San Francisco, sign in at the visitor kiosk, and must confirm their compliance with exposure risk criteria each time they enter the building. They will also have to show photo ID and wear a face covering.
|Monday – Sunday||24/7 Access|
376 Larkin Parking Garage: Open
In order to serve our student population as well as those serving in essential functions for the College, the parking garage will remain open albeit with limited hours as specified below. These days and hours are subject to change at any time, if you are using the parking garage, please ensure you check these hours regularly for important updates or look for signage at the parking garage.
|Monday – Friday||6:00 AM||6:00 PM|
|Saturday||6:00 AM||6:00 PM|
|Sunday||6:00 AM||6:00 PM|
In order to ensure that the UC Hastings Law Library facilities and services are fully available to the UC Hastings College of the Law community, the Law Library observes a very limited access policy, which is fully enforced at all times that the Library is open. Click here for Library hours.
