2023 – 2024 Campus Housing
The Academe at 198 opens to residents in the fall of 2023. The Academe at 198 is 14-stories and has 656 fully furnished apartments available with floorplans ranging from efficiencies to two bedroom units, all with full kitchens. Community amenities abound including large lounges with skyline views, study rooms, communal kitchens, entertainment rooms, WIFI, laundry facilities, a fitness center, an outdoor courtyard, bicycle storage, and a dog run. Launch Tower Gym: Health & Wellness
Campus housing in 2022-2023 is provided in the historic McAllister Tower at 100 McAllister. Tower amenities include the Sky room, an art deco-style lounge on the 24th floor with breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline for resident’s use as an area to relax or study during designated hours. There is also the Clara Foltz Lounge, a casual lounge equipped with a pool table, table tennis, large television, and seating areas. ATM and Vending machines are available 24/7.

Tower Housing Types
The McAllister Tower contains 252 apartments. This includes 87 efficiency units, 100 studio units, 55 one-bedroom units, 6 two-bedroom units and 4 penthouse units.
Rates for Academic Year 2022-2023

Price range is per unit, not per student. Utilities (electricity, gas, water and refuse disposal) are included with the monthly rental rate. Full internet access is provided by UC Hastings wireless network. Residents should contact their own provider for cable services.
Price variation of units is based on the location, size, and view. Most units on the 9th floor and above offers a view.
Please note that our elevators will not accept furniture longer than 7 feet. In an effort to make the students’ move as easy as possible, Housing Services request 10 business days prior notice in order to reserve an elevator for one hour.
Children are welcome at the tower; however, residents with children should understand that noise must be held to a minimum and that neighborhood play areas are limited. Pets are not allowed.
McAllister Tower is a state-owned facility and smoking is strictly prohibited within 30 feet of the front entrance. This policy will be enforced at McAllister Tower.
