Associate Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar

Join LexLab (UC Hastings Law’s innovation hub for emerging legal tech) for a discussion on AI and the law with Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuellar. Justice Cuellar began serving on the California Supreme Court in January 2015. Previously he was the Stanley Morrison Professor of Law and Professor (by courtesy) of Political Science at Stanford University. Cuéllar is a scholar of public law and institutions whose books and articles explore problems in administrative law and legislation, cyberlaw, criminal justice, public health law, international law and security, immigration, and the history of institutions. LexLab, at UC Hastings Law, is an innovation hub for emerging legal technologies. We are building three areas of focus: building a concentration/ certificate in law and technology for students; setting up an incubator for legal tech startups on campus, a space where our students and alumni can interact with entrepreneurs and provide support in various ways; and hosting regular large and small scale community events.
