Campus Climate Advisory Committee – Faculty Listening Session

October 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

As part of its implementation of the College’s strategic plan, Chancellor & Dean David Faigman commissioned a study conducted by Rankin & Associates of the campus climate. The background on that study is located here, on the Speak Your Truth – UC Hastings Community Experience Survey website. Rankin & Associates and the Climate Survey Working Group created by Dean Faigman administered the survey in March 2021, and Rankin & Associates presented the results on September 23 and 24, 2021. This week, Rankin & Associates released the full survey report, which is available here.

In anticipation of the availability of the survey results, Dean Faigman created a Campus Climate Advisory Committee comprised of faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The committee’s charge is to engage with the community, reflect on the survey results, and, by April, prepare a report identifying concrete actions the College can take to improve the campus climate.

The Committee’s first order of business is to host “listening sessions” with community members. The Faculty listening session will take place on Thursday, October 21 from 12-1pm, on Zoom. Calendar invitations with Zoom details have been sent through email. Please join us to share your thoughts regarding the survey results and regarding actions you think the College should consider taking.
