“Diversity in Legal Thought and Practice” Speaker Series Featuring Yolanda Sanders ’93, Gap, Inc.

Please join us for this lecture by alum Yolanda Sanders ’93, Associate General Counsel at Gap Inc., entitled “Inclusion by Design”

Gap, Inc. is one of the world’s leading retailers, boasting over 140,000 employees and $16B in annual revenue from its portfolio of brands including Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, Intermix, Hill City, and Janie and Jack.  As Associate General Counsel, Yolanda Sanders leads Gap Inc.’s Global Employment Law team, navigating the legal challenges that impact the Company’s people, customers and iconic brands worldwide.  Ms. Sanders provides counsel on various employment law matters, including recruiting, hiring, terminations, wage and hour, pay equity, leaves and accommodations, performance management and organizational restructures, background screening and fair chance laws to name a few.

As head of Global Employment Law, Ms. Sanders works closely with Gap. Inc.’s. Equality and Belonging team to develop and implement the Company’s Inclusion by Design strategy.  Ms. Sanders is a 2019 Legal Council on Legal Diversity Fellow and on the Advisory Board for Diversity Lab’s MRLD 2.0.  Within Gap, she is a member of the Legal Department’s Legal Diversity Committee, which is committed to ensuring diversity within the Department as well as in the legal profession and pipeline.
