Hack Homelessness is UC Hastings’ design challenge, bringing together lawyers, developers, designers, builders and thinkers with the objective of finding technology solutions to some of the most pressing legal issues that keep the homeless population of San Francisco on the streets. Teams will compete to implement technology solutions for a legal issue related to one of several identified causes of homelessness.

We are hosting participants with varying amounts of experience in the legal, design and computer science fields. No prior coding or hacking experience is required. Hacking will take place from Sunday, November 8, to Friday, November 13, 2020, and teams will give their final presentations on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Join us as our teams, passionate about creating a social impact and positive change for one of the Bay Area’s most pressing issues, present their final ideas to a panel of judges.
