Stat Class Planning Session
October 14 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Next month, 1Ls will decide whether you will take Constitutional Law I or a statutory course in Spring 2020. To help you plan for this decision, please attend the 1L Academic Planning Session next Wednesday, October 14, from 3:40-4:40 p.m. on Zoom.
This session is designed to provide you with information about the different course options and help you make an informed choice about which course you will take next semester. Faculty members that teach these courses will give brief overviews of their courses and provide guidance on why you might take a particular course. You will also learn more about the Law and Process version of Constitutional Law I.
Thinking deliberately about which course you take in 1L can facilitate your future academic planning. For example, if you are considering completing a concentration, taking the appropriate statutory course in 1L can allow you to take required upper-division courses earlier in 2L. If you are considering an externship in your fourth semester, being strategic about your course choices can increase your scheduling flexibility and potential externship options.
