On-Campus Interview (OCI) Programs

Employers are welcome to interview our students through our various OCI programs throughout the year. Each OCI program is designed to accommodate different recruiting timelines and we welcome employers to register for the OCI program that best aligns with their recruiting needs.

Applications are collected through our online job board 12Twenty and interview schedules are coordinated by our office. Virtual interviews are conducted via Flo Recruit. With the exception of our Summer OCI programs, participation is free of charge.

Note About Pre-Recruiting:

UC Law SF allows employers registered for Summer OCI to engage in pre-recruiting and interviewing.  To help address potential inequities in this process, we ask that all employers who register for Summer OCI and engage in pre-recruiting, please provide details about this process when registering for Summer OCI.  Additionally, we ask employers to provide students interviewed prior to Summer OCI with regular updates of their status, including as of two weeks prior to the start of Summer OCI, so they can make fully informed decisions.

OCI Programs at UC Law SF: Pre-Summer, Summer, Fall, and Spring

Pre-Summer OCI Program

For 2024, we are piloting our Pre-Summer OCI Program that will allow employers an optional and more formalized early access to applications from our students. This program is a supplement to the Summer OCI Program, which remains our primary recruiting program.

Students will submit their resume and transcript to a maximum of five employers. Employers will select students for a screening interview and students will accept/withdraw the interview offer. Employers will schedule screening interviews with students directly no earlier than 6/21.

Offers made through the Pre-Summer OCI Program should be kept open for 14 days from the date of the offer. Offers made outside of our Pre-Summer OCI Program should be kept open for 14 days after the last day of our Summer OCI Program.

Employers are welcome to participate in either or both the Pre-Summer OCI and Summer OCI Program.

  • Employers View Accept/Withdraw Status and Begin Scheduling Interviews: Mon 6/24

Summer OCI Program

The Summer OCI Program (formerly known as the “Early Interview Program”) is our primary recruiting program that allows employers to interview rising 2Ls for summer positions and rising 3Ls for permanent, post-grad positions. Summer OCI is ideal for employers with larger summer programs and recurring recruiting schedules. Employers may pre-select 75% of their interview schedules and virtual interviews will be conducted via Flo Recruit. Resume Collect is also available.

Employers are welcome to participate in either or both the Pre-Summer OCI and Summer OCI Program.

  • Interview Schedules Available on 12Twenty: Fri 7/26
  • Virtual Interviews: Tue 7/30-Fri 8/2

Pre-Summer OCI and Summer OCI Program Registration Fees (per schedule/job posting):

  • 1-20 attorneys worldwide: $225
  • 21-100 attorneys worldwide: $450
  • 100+ attorneys worldwide: $600
  • Public Interest/Government, First-Time Participant, and/or Resume Collect: Free of charge

For employers participating in Pre-Summer OCI and/or Summer OCI Programs, total registration fees will be based on the highest number of registrations received for either program.

More information on payment options (credit card and checks) will be sent separately with your invoice once your schedule has been approved.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you must cancel your Pre-Summer OCI/Summer OCI registration(s), please do so by Fri 6/28 to be eligible to request a refund. A $50.00-$100.00 administrative fee will be withheld, depending upon the size of the employer. For cancellations requested after the cancellation deadline, no refund will be available.

Fall and Spring OCI Programs

Employers are welcome to conduct OCIs during the school year on a date that works best with their recruiting timeline. 100% of the candidates can be preselected for interviews and registration is free of charge. Semester OCIs are conducted virtually via Flo Recruit or Zoom.

Fall OCI Program

Employers can interview 2Ls and 3Ls for spring, summer, and/or post-grad placements. OCIs can be conducted on any business day in September and October.

Spring OCI Program

Employers can interview 2Ls and 3Ls for spring, summer, and/or post-grad placements while 1Ls can be interviewed for summer placements only. OCIs can be conducted on any business day in February and March.
