Bio

Adjunct Professor Greg Turner is a solo state and local tax practitioner in Sacramento where he represents corporate and individual clients in all manner of state and local tax issues from consulting, administrative dispute, to litigation, as well as   before the state legislature and administrative agencies on matters of tax policy as a contract lobbyist.  During his more than 25 years in the state and local tax arena, Professor Turner has served as staff in the California Legislature, Chief Deputy to a Member of the State Board of Equalization, counsel at Nielsen Merksamer Parrinello Mueller and Naylor and Sheppard Mullin Richter and Hampton, as well as the California Taxpayers’ Association (Cal-Tax) and the Council on State Taxation (COST).  He received his BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Arizona and his JD from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
