Biography
Adjunct Professor Joe Sorenson has over 35 years of experience as a corporate and transactional attorney, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, public securities offerings, venture capital and private financings, and joint venture and other strategic business relationships. He is also a visiting lecturer at UC Davis School of Law, where he teaches a course on international business negotiations.
Professor Sorenson received his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and has a M.S. degree from Purdue University and a B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University. He retired from DLA Piper LLP (US) in 2014 and was also a partner at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP (a predecessor to DLA Piper) and Graham & James LLP.
