Judge Vaughn
Walker

Biography

Vaughn R. Walker served as a United States District Judge from 1990 to 2011, handling thousands of cases, including numerous high-profile matters involving civil rights, national security and complex business issues. Before joining the bench, he was a partner in a major national law firm, a member of the California Law Revision Commission and law clerk to a federal judge. He now conducts a mediation/arbitration practice and serves on the investment committee of an international litigation funding group.

Judge Walker graduated from the University of Michigan and Stanford Law School. He has taught at Hastings since 2014 and before that at Stanford and Berkeley.
