Bio

Karen administratively supports, promotes, and expands the work of the Center for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution (CNDR), serving both as a point of first contact for the multitude of programs offered, other departments at UC Law SF, and as a partner in envisioning and implementing the strategic goals of the Center. She is the point of contact for our team of Adjuncts and Professors that teach approximately 16 courses in ADR, a Mediation Clinic, a world class ADR and Negotiation Team, and a Concentration in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution. With extensive event planning experience, Karen also manages the Center’s many practitioner certificate training programs for lawyers, judges, community organizations, governmental agencies, foreign bar associations and other groups from around the world, as well as conferences and workshops for scholars.

A San Francisco native, Karen received her undergraduate degree in Literature from UC Santa Cruz. Her background is in event planning, administration, and marketing, including 15 years at UCSF managing educational conferences. In her free time she enjoys travel, spending time in nature, and attending music and performing arts events.
