Bio

Kyla Burke-Lazarus, recently joined the Career Development Office at UC Law SF as the new Associate Director for Public Interest/Public Sector Programs. She is the first point of contact for students interested in careers in public interest, public service and clerkships; and provides counseling and support to all students. A graduate of University of British Columbia and Brooklyn Law School, Kyla previously worked as a Supervising Attorney at the Immigration Center for Women and Children (ICWC) in San Francisco. At ICWC, Kyla defended immigrant survivors of gender-based violence before federal immigration agencies and Immigration Court. While at Brooklyn Law, Kyla was a Public Interest Public Service Fellow with Sanctuary for Families in New York, a prominent gender-rights organization.
