Bio

Rebecca Arons directs the Legal Writing Resource Center and teaches Legal Research and Writing. She began her legal career as a panel attorney representing criminal appellants in the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District. She has worked as a legal writing coach at several San Francisco law firms, teaching CLE classes and helping associates improve their legal writing. Rebecca also taught Legal Research, Writing, and Analysis at USF. Before law school, she worked as a criminal defense investigator on capital cases. She received her JD (cum laude) from the USF School of Law, where she was the Managing Editor of the Law Review; her MA in English from San Francisco State University; and her BA from Barnard College.
