Adjunct Professor of Law


Adjunct Professor Sally Harpole is an international arbitrator, mediator and attorney. From 1977, she advised clients on trade, investment and dispute resolution matters in the People’s Republic of China. She has served on the governing council of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Commission of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Executive Committee of the AAA Board of Directors. After 36 years in Asia, she is based in San Francisco, where she serves as an arbitrator for complex commercial disputes.

Professor Harpole received her J.D. from the University of Washington and her A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a mediator certificate from Harvard Law School and Chinese law certificate from University of East Asia.
