Bio

Sandy Flagge-Phillips works as an Assistant District Attorney with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. Prior to her pursuits in advocacy, Sandy enjoyed a challenging and diverse career in state legal research. Sandy entered the field after receiving a Lawyers for America fellowship with the Contra Costa Superior Court. Before leaving the courts, Sandy served as the Lead Staff Attorney for the San Francisco Appellate Division, where she provided recommendations and drafted opinions for over 300 civil and criminal appeals. Sandy has studied legal writing directly from numerous esteemed judicial officers, many of whom now sit on elevated positions in the California court system. Sandy delights in passing these skills onto the next generation of legal minds.

Sandy obtained her JD from UC Law SF in 2015.  She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno. Sandy lives in Piedmont with her partner, Nick, and their dog, Olive.
