Biography

Adjunct Professor Teri L. Jackson is a Superior Court Judge of California, County of San Francisco. She has had extensive litigation experience in both civil and criminal law. Judge Jackson was Of Counsel for the law firm of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP where she engaged in complex commercial litigation in the areas of Proposition 65, employment, trade secret law, environmental, real estate and bankruptcy. For over fourteen years, Judge Jackson was a prosecutor for both the San Francisco District Office and he San Mateo County District Attorney. While as an Assistant District Attorney of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, she was the Managing Attorney for Homicide, Domestic Violence and Misdemeanor Trials.

Judge Jackson was the Chair of the State Bar of California committee of Bar Examiners, Board Member of the California Court Reporter’s Board, USF American Inns of Court, Northern California, Black Women Lawyers Association and Peninsula Community Foundation. She was a lecturer for the Rutter Group on basic civil procedure.

Judge Jackson received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
