This once-a-month walk in clinic is open to the public with the purpose of assisting individuals with legal questions and concerns. Volunteers typically conduct intake to determine the legal assistance sought in order to match that person with an attorney who practices in that area. Second and third year students who have volunteered previously may assist with document production (demand letters, answers, administrative complaints, etc.) under direction of the attorneys. Mayer Lounge allows you to circulate among attorneys from a wide array of law practice areas, sectors and settings, and practice networking. It's a soft launch into networking, because the participating practitioners are nearly all UC Hastings alumni who love working with students and see this event as a mentoring opportunity.
